    What this calculator models

    V1 models the federal PTC income calculation using official 2025 HHS poverty guidelines for 2026 coverage and official 2026 guidelines for 2027 coverage. It uses the applicable percentage published by the IRS for the selected year.

    It does not determine Medicaid or CHIP eligibility, cost-sharing reductions, employer-plan affordability, immigration-related exceptions, or final Marketplace eligibility. The SLCSP must be supplied by the user because it depends on the coverage family and rating area.
